Academics are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded primary school in Hemel Hempstead for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and nurturing team. Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Hemel Hempstead Pay: £95 to £110 per day Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children with Autism thrive in the classroom? Do you enjoy creating positive learning experiences, building meaningful relationships and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential? This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with Autism and additional learning needs who is looking to make a genuine impact in a welcoming primary school. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils with Autism both within the classroom and through targeted interventions.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support strategies.
Encourage pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles.
Promote positive behaviour using consistent and supportive strategies.
Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school team.We're looking for someone who: Has previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
Has experience supporting children with Autism and additional learning needs.
Is patient, caring, resilient and passionate about inclusive education.
Can build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.What Academics Can Offer Competitive daily pay rates.
