Welcoming schools across Tring and surrounding areas are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by helping young people build confidence, independence, and essential academic skills. About the Role as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Tring As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Tring and surrounding areas, you will work closely with students both in the classroom and through one-to-one and small group interventions. You will help pupils stay engaged, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment. We also have availability in the surrounding areas for candidates looking for similar opportunities. Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant Provide in-class, one-to-one, and small group support for students with MLD.
Support students with literacy, numeracy, and structured learning activities.
Assist teachers in delivering adapted and accessible lessons.
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students.
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.Requirements for an SEN Teaching assistant in Tring Previous experience working within SEN, particularly with MLD, is preferred.
Experience supporting secondary-aged students or young people.
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt to a variety of learning needs and behaviours.
