A well-established special school in Romford is seeking a committed educator to join their team from September 2025. You’ll work with pupils who have a range of needs including autism, learning difficulties, and complex behavioural challenges. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons aligned to EHCP outcomes. • Create a structured, calm, and supportive learning environment. • Support students with a variety of complex needs, including ASD and MLD. • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals. • Track and assess student progress, contributing to reviews and reports. • Promote emotional regulation, independence, and communication skills. • Be an active contributor to the wider life and values of the school. Qualifications and Experience: • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential). • Prior experience working in a SEND or specialist setting (preferred). • Strong understanding of differentiation and adaptive teaching strategies. • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. • A caring, creative, and patient teaching style. • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education. • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
