SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Wisbech Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, Part-time, Long-Term & Temporary Opportunities Salary: £93-£110 per day (dependent on qualifications and experience) Are you looking for a new SEND Teaching Assistant role within Wisbech? Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream and specialist schools in Wisbech and the surrounding areas from September 2026. Whether you have experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional needs, we have a variety of rewarding opportunities available to suit your experience and career goals. The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual potential. Working alongside class teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include: • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND. • Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and other additional learning needs. • Assisting pupils to engage with classroom activities and the wider school environment. • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. • Implementing EHCPs, individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies. • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff. • Supporting with personal care where required. • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. The ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND. • A patient, resilient and proactive approach. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. • A passion for supporting children to achieve their potential. • A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
