EYFS 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Long-Term Role)
Location: South Bristol
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: September
Contract: Long-Term
Monarch Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in South Bristol . This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil within the Early Years Foundation Stage from September.
The Role
You will work closely with a young pupil on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop confidence, and make positive progress in a nurturing EYFS environment.
Working alongside the class teacher and wider support team, you will play a vital role in supporting the child's learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
• Providing dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the child's individual needs
• Supporting engagement in EYFS learning activities through play-based learning
• Encouraging communication, social interaction, and emotional development
• Helping the pupil build confidence, independence, and positive relationships
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider school staff
• Assisting with classroom routines and transitions throughout the day
• Supporting the child's wellbeing within a safe and nurturing environment
• Assisting with personal care where required

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working within an EYFS setting or supporting young children in a school or nursery environment
• Has experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with additional needs
• Is patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic
• Has a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
• Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Is adaptable, proactive, and able to respond to individual needs
• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
