About the role

Your new company Hays Education works in partnership with a variety of primary schools across the Wigan and surrounding area, who have daily requirements for supply teachers to cover mornings, afternoons and full days across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Your new role Working as a supply teacher, you will be working in a range of schools and year groups, and you can choose as few or as many days a week as you would like to work based on your individual situation. The majority of our supply work is pre-booked, which enables you to familiarise yourself with the school beforehand. You will be working across year groups from nursery through to Year 6 and will often find yourself returning to schools on a regular basis.Whether you are an ECT looking to build their experience, or an experienced teacher looking to work some additional days, I would love to hear from you! What you'll need to succeed In order to be registered for supply teaching, you will need to: • Hold qualified teacher status (or have completed your degree and are due to get QTS in the summer) • Have recent and relevant experience working within a primary school setting • Be an approachable and patient primary teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations. • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to quickly build effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues What you'll get in return You will work with a dedicated recruitment expert who will work to find out your needs and support you in finding the right roles to meet them.
