Supply Teacher

Position: Secondary Supply Teacher Location: Waltham Forest Start date: September 2026 Smart Teachers is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming and high-achieving secondary schools throughout Waltham Forest Whether you're looking for the flexibility of day-to-day supply, regular weekly work, or longer-term placements, we have opportunities available to suit your lifestyle and career goals. We are recruiting teachers across all secondary subject specialisms and welcome applications from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). The Role As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will: • Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available depending on your subject specialism. • Teach pre-planned lessons while maintaining continuity of learning. • Adapt confidently to different school environments and establish positive relationships with pupils and staff. • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and classroom management. • Provide feedback to departments following lessons where required. • Uphold each school's safeguarding and behaviour policies. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • Have recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools. • Be confident delivering lessons within their subject specialism. • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills. • Be flexible, reliable and professional in their approach. • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
