Supply Teacher

Position: Secondary Supply Teacher Location: Redbridge Start date: September 2026 Smart Teachers is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming and high-achieving secondary schools throughout Redbridge . We are recruiting teachers across all secondary subject specialisms and welcome applications from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). The Role As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will: • Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available depending on your subject specialism. • Teach pre-planned lessons while maintaining continuity of learning. • Adapt confidently to different school environments and establish positive relationships with pupils and staff. • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and classroom management. • Provide feedback to departments following lessons where required. • Uphold each school's safeguarding and behaviour policies. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • Have recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools. • Be confident delivering lessons within their subject specialism. • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills. • Be flexible, reliable and professional in their approach. • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
