Job Title:Teacher of SEND (English Specialist) School: Oakbrook School Location: Northenden, Wythenshawe, M22 4JN Type: Full-time (Mon-Fri) Pay: Up to £48,000 (based on qualifications and experience) Start Date: September 2026 We are currently unable to accept applications from ECTs Situated in Northenden, Manchester, Oakbrook School is proud to introduce ourselves as a new special school, part of The Wellbrook School in Derbyshire. Our provision is designed to support up to 20 young people aged 9 to 16 with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for a dedicated Teacher of SEND (English Specialist) to join our team. You will be instrumental in creating a positive learning environment and making a real difference in our pupils lives. Due to our small class sizes, you will have the chance to establish genuine connections with each student and offer tailored support. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something special from the very beginning. Benefits: • Free onsite parking • Staff laptop • Regular supportive supervision • Company events • Referral program What we are looking for from you: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. • Strong subject knowledge in English, with the ability to teach across key stages (KS1KS4). • Experience of planning, delivering, and assessing engaging english lessons that meet a range of learning needs. • Understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and commitment to inclusive education. • Ability to differentiate learning effectively and use creative approaches to engage pupils with varied abilities. • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, supportive learning environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals. • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
