An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and committed Art and Design ECT to join a secondary school in Northumberland from January 2026. This full-time role is ideal for an early career teacher looking to nurture student creativity and contribute to a thriving arts culture. • Art Teacher role for ECTs – Full-time from January 2026 • Teaching KS3 and GCSE Art with access to studio spaces and digital tools • Join an innovative Art department passionate about visual storytelling and design About the Role You’ll deliver hands-on, project-based learning that encourages creative thinking and artistic skill development. From painting and print to digital design, you’ll support students in building strong portfolios. Experience and Qualifications • QTS with Art and Design specialism • Practical experience from training placements, especially with KS3/KS4 • Willingness to lead or support exhibitions and creative clubs • Legal right to work in the UK About the School Located near the coast and established in the early 1980s, this Northumberland school is known for its inclusive ethos and broad curriculum.
