The Role As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students across a range of subjects, providing classroom support and helping to create a positive learning environment. You may also support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum. Responsibilities • Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom. • Working with individuals and small groups of students. • Assisting pupils with additional learning needs where required. • Promoting positive behaviour and student engagement. • Helping students develop confidence, independence and academic progress. • Providing general classroom and administrative support. The Ideal Candidate • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential. • A positive, patient and proactive approach. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • A genuine interest in education and supporting student development. • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
