Location: Newport, South Wales
Pay Rate: £92.63 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: September 2026 Start - Full Academic Year

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Newport to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll become an important part of students' educational journeys, helping them overcome challenges, celebrate achievements, and grow in confidence both academically and personally.

⭐ What You'll Be Doing
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Your role will include:
• Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and independence
• Encouraging engagement and participation across a range of subjects
• Providing additional support to students with learning, behavioural, or emotional needs
• Building positive relationships that help students succeed both in and out of the classroom
• Celebrating progress and helping pupils achieve their full potential

✅ Educator Requirements
The ideal candidate will also require the following or already hold & willing to apply for: (We can help you obtain the below as part of the registration process)
• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• Education Workforce Regulation registration (EWC)
• Aged 18 and over
• Level 2 Safeguarding Course as part of your onboarding with us
• A Minimum of 2 professional based references which cover a 24-month period of employment (or equivalent)
