KS2 Teaching Assistant & Lunchtime Supervisor – Primary School, temporary until the October half-term, starting September 2026 Here is Great Hockham Primary School and Nursery , a welcoming school for children aged 3–11 and part of the Sapientia Education Trust . Duties as KS2 Teaching Assistant: • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one and small-group basis • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation • Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning • Supervising pupils during lunchtime and promoting safe, positive play • Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff Ideal KS2 Teaching Assistant: • Previous experience working with primary-aged children • Experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Stand Out with Step TeachersAt Step Teachers, we’re proud to be the only education recruitment agency in Norfolk offering Step On training, part of the County’s respected Norfolk Steps behaviour management programme to all teachers and support staff who register with us.
