Teaching Assistant – Swansea Make a Difference Every Day Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in primary schools across Swansea? Vision for Education is seeking passionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary schools throughout Swansea and the surrounding areas. Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time opportunities, supply work offers flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a real impact on children's learning and development. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping children thrive both academically and socially. Working across a range of primary school settings, you will: • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. • Assist with classroom learning activities across the primary age range. • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons. • Support children's social, emotional, and educational development. • Help supervise and engage pupils during outdoor learning and play activities. • Work closely with class teachers and school staff to create a positive learning environment. Most placements will be within the Foundation Phase, although opportunities may also arise to support Key Stage 2 classes when schools require additional cover. What We Are Looking For in a Teaching Assistant The ideal candidate will have: • Recent experience working with primary-aged children. • A patient, caring, and nurturing approach. • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners. • A flexible and proactive attitude to supporting different classroom environments.
