Secondary Teaching Assistant - Supply Location: Calderdale Pay: £90-£100 per day Contract Type: Supply (Short-Term & Long-Term Opportunities) About the Role Academics are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in secondary schools across Calderdale . This role involves supporting teachers in the classroom, assisting students with their learning, and helping maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Opportunities are available for both short-term and long-term placements . Key Responsibilities • Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons • Assist students with learning activities and tasks • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive environment • Support students with additional needs, where required • Prepare resources and classroom materials • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff Requirements • Experience working in a school setting preferred • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work with students across different age groups • Reliable, adaptable, and proactive • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer • Daily pay rate of £90-£100 • Flexible working - full-time or part-time supply • Opportunities in both short-term and long-term placements • Support from experienced and dedicated consultants • Access to a wide range of schools across Calderdale Why Work with Academics?
