About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident, and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in High Wycombe, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 education and enjoys delivering engaging lessons that develop pupils’ confidence, independence, and academic skills. Senior leadership is approachable and provides mentoring, guidance, and high-quality professional development opportunities. As a Year 3 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, promoting strong learning habits, and preparing pupils for the challenges of Upper Key Stage 2. You will foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning. Key Responsibilities • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment • Use assessment data to track progress and plan targeted support • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and a love of learning • Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress • Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum • Be organised, confident, and enthusiastic • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills • Be reflective, adaptable, and committed to professional development • Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing The school is located in High Wycombe, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
