Location: Milton Keynes Salary: MPS/UPS Contract Type: Full-time We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and reflective Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2, helping them build confidence, independence, and strong academic foundations across the curriculum. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class and deliver high-quality teaching in line with the National Curriculum. You will plan well-structured, engaging lessons that are creative and accessible, ensuring pupils are supported as they adjust to the increased expectations of Key Stage 2. A consistent and positive approach to behaviour management will be essential, alongside a nurturing classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported. Assessment will be central to your practice. You will use both formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor progress, identify next steps, and adapt planning accordingly. Differentiation will be key to ensuring that all learners, including pupils with SEND, EAL, and those requiring additional intervention, are fully supported and appropriately challenged. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across Lower Key Stage 2, as well as with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and senior leaders. Strong communication with parents and carers will be encouraged and supported, helping to build positive partnerships that benefit pupil progress and wellbeing. This role is suitable for Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers. ECTs will benefit from a structured induction programme and ongoing mentoring, while experienced practitioners will have opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils • Promote high standards of behaviour and achievement • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals • Contribute to the wider life of the school The successful candidate will have: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 • Strong classroom management and organisational skills • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities • Commitment to safeguarding and professional development To be considered for this position, please forward an up-to-date CV as soon as possible.
