Position details • Role: Year 5 Teacher — Westminster • Start date: January 2026 • Contract: Permanent, Full-Time About the role The Year 5 Teacher will teach ambitious sequences that promote knowledge retention and application, lead intervention groups to close gaps and collaborate with subject leads to develop curriculum practice. The Year 5 Teacher will use assessment to set measurable targets and to report progress to leaders and families in Westminster. Key responsibilities • Deliver high-quality Year 5 lessons with clear progression and differentiation. • Lead booster sessions and monitor their impact to accelerate pupil progress. • Contribute to year-group planning, moderation and whole-school development activities. • Communicate effectively with parents and external partners to support learning in Westminster. • Support enrichment programmes and transition planning into Year 6. Person specification • Qualified teacher with solid Year 5/KS2 experience and a track record of raising attainment. • Strong planning and assessment skills, confident behaviour management and collaborative approach. • Able to start January 2026 and to attend induction and planning prior to January 2026.
