The Role As a Year 1 Teacher , you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel supported, inspired, and excited to learn. Key Responsibilities: • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 national curriculum • Supporting pupils’ early development in phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and interventions • Preparing pupils for the Phonics Screening Check • Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment • Encouraging pupil confidence, independence, and curiosity • Providing targeted support for pupils of varying abilities, including SEN • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and staff • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) – Desirable • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or Early Years • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics schemes • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills • A creative, engaging, and nurturing teaching style • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Ability to work full-time in Great Missenden from September Desirable: • Experience in Year 1 or Year 2 • Knowledge of phonics programmes (e.g. Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds) • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs ( SEN ) Why This Role? • Opportunity to join a supportive and friendly school environment • Well-resourced Key Stage 1 setting • Long-term stability • Ongoing professional development and support • Opportunity to play a key role in early learning and development How to Apply If you are a passionate Year 1 Teacher looking for a rewarding full-time role in Holmer Green, we would love to hear from you. | 24/7 Support: All successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check and meet Safer Recruitment standards .
