Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and rigorous English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Ensure students develop a strong command of language and critical thinking skills, alongside a love of literature
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets for improvement
Develop and implement strategies to support the diverse learning needs of all students
Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning and promote holistic development
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and school events
Engage in ongoing professional development to continually improve teaching practice
Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (e.g. PGCE, overseas teaching qualification)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students
A commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom environment
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
