Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs. • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction. • Assist in implementing EHCP targets, behaviour plans, and individual support strategies. • Help create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment. • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals. • Promote pupils’ independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. • Follow care plans, safeguarding procedures, and school policies at all times. Requirements: • Previous experience working with children or young people with autism or SEN is desirable. • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with additional needs. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude. To work with GSL Education as an Autism Support Worker, you should: • Have the right to work in the UK. • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
