Art Teacher

A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Northampton is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join its thriving Art & Design Department. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are committed to nurturing creativity and artistic expression in young people. The Role The successful candidate will: • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 available depending on experience). • Inspire creativity while developing students’ technical skills and critical understanding of art. • Prepare students for GCSE and/or A-Level assessments where applicable. • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies. • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development. • Support extracurricular activities such as art clubs, competitions, and exhibitions. Candidate Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). • Strong subject knowledge across a range of artistic media and techniques. • Excellent classroom management skills. • A commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners. • Strong organisational and communication skills.
