Job description

The post-holder will work under the guidance of the Business Manager to oversee a team of cleaners. You will help supervise the work of the cleaning staff and allocate tasks accordingly. Team leadership:Manage and guide a team of cleaning staff to maintain high standards. Operational oversight:Schedule cleaning tasks and ensure all areas of the school are properly cleaned and maintained. Oversee and undertake general cleaning duties. Time Management: You will have the ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high standard and coordinate and motivate your team to do the same, as they will be working with minimal supervision. Health and safety:Be knowledgeable about and enforce all relevant health and safety procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Stock Management: Be responsible for ordering and stock control Quality assurance:Inspect work to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met throughout the school environment. Required skills and qualities Leadership and strong communication skills. Organizational and time management abilities. Knowledge of health and safety procedures. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. Physical fitness. Ability to follow instructions for tasks and managing chemicals.
