About the role
Here at Teaching Tomorrow, we are keen to appoint experienced Educational Cover Supervisors looking to make a positive impact in education while gaining valuable experience in local schools in and local to Leighton Buzzard.
Sound like you? Join our dedicated team of Cover Staff and play a key role in ensuring continuity of learning and student engagement, in the absence of regular teachers, while aligning a work life balance.
Teaching Tomorrow, a dedicated and highly thought after teaching agency, work closely with schools across Bedfordshire, and have potential variation of cover work available on a daily and short term basis.
As part of the cover team you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of regular teachers, ensuring a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment for students. The expectation is to deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities to classes across a range of subjects and key stages, maintaining continuity of instruction and facilitating student learning. While managing student behaviour effectively, applying school policies and procedures consistently to promote a positive and respectful learning environment conducive to student success.
Requirements:
Either a teacher qualification, to work as a cover teacher, or degree level cover supervisor with 6 months experience of working in a education setting.
An understanding of the national curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
Enthusiasm for promoting health, and wellbeing among young people.
