We're working with a number of secondary schools across Lancaster and surrounding areas who are regularly need of motivated and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on day to day, short and long term bookings. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to build a career in education. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work or a longer-term placement, there are opportunities available to suit your availability and career goals. What is a Cover Supervisor? As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, supervising students aged 11-16 and delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects. You won't be expected to plan lessons, but you will play a vital role in keeping students engaged, on task, and working in a structured learning environment. This role offers invaluable classroom experience, helping you build confidence in behaviour management and develop a strong understanding of school life-making it an ideal stepping stone into teacher training such as a PGCE.
