We are working with a number of partner schools across East London that require Cover Supervisors on a daily basis, meaning there are opportunities for both immediate starts and September positions , as well as ongoing work throughout the academic year. About the Role As a Supply Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring pupils remain engaged with the work provided. Key Responsibilities • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects. • Supervise classes and maintain a positive learning environment. • Manage classroom behaviour effectively. • Ensure pupils remain on task and complete the work set. • Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures. • Provide feedback to teaching staff where required. • Build positive relationships with students and school staff. Requirements • Experience working with children or young people. • Strong communication and behaviour management skills. • Confidence leading groups of students independently. • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach. • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. • Right to work in the UK. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Desirable • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant . • Experience working within a secondary school environment. • Individuals considering a future career in teaching.
