Cover Supervisor

About the Role: As a Cover Secondary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and ensuring a positive and engaging classroom environment for students. You'll have the flexibility to work across different year groups and departments, helping maintain high standards of learning during staff absences. As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes, ensuring students are on task with their work and managing the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking to gain more experience in a classroom setting, while supporting students in their academic journey. Key Responsibilities: Cover Teachers: Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects Ensure students remain focused and engaged Maintain a positive and productive learning environment Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Provide feedback to subject teachers on student progress Cover Supervisors: Supervise students and support their learning activities Ensure students remain on task and complete their work Manage classroom behaviour and maintain order Assist in the day-to-day operations of the school as required Who We Are Looking For: Cover Secondary Teachers: Qualified teacher status (QTS) preferred, but not essential Experience teaching secondary-aged students (across all subjects) Strong classroom management skills Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subject areas A passion for supporting students' academic growth and wellbeing Cover Supervisors: Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A proactive approach and the ability to motivate students Strong classroom management skills A positive and enthusiastic attitude What We Offer: A supportive and friendly working environment Opportunities for professional development Competitive daily and long-term supply rates Flexibility in working hours and days The chance to make a positive impact on students' learning and development How to Apply: If you're ready to join a school that values high standards and student well-being, apply today!
