St Joseph's Catholic School "With God's love and inspiration, we aspire and achieve excellence" Job Title: Cover Supervisor Responsible to: Operations Director Start Date: September / October 2026 About the Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will facilitate a calm and productive classroom environment, ensuring pupils are engaged and supported in completing the work set by their teacher. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for education and a desire to inspire young people. Key Duties Include: Supervising classes and delivering pre-set work in the absence of a teacher. Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining classroom discipline. Supporting pupils to stay on task and achieve their best. Assisting with extra-curricular activities, events and wider school life. Providing supervision during breaks, lunchtimes and school events. The ability to manage a classroom effectively and with confidence. Experience working with young people (desirable). A calm, flexible and supportive approach.
