Cover Supervisor – Sheffield £100–£150 per day | Flexible Work | September start Vision for Education are expanding our network of Cover Supervisors to support a variety of welcoming secondary schools across Sheffield and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident individuals who are passionate about education and want to gain valuable classroom experience while working in different school environments. We are also recruiting across Rotherham , Doncaster , and Barnsley . About the Role As a Cover Supervisor , you will play a vital role in ensuring learning continues smoothly when teachers are absent. You will be responsible for supervising lessons, supporting students, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Your responsibilities will include: • Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects • Maintaining strong classroom behaviour and engagement • Supporting students to stay focused and complete set work • Assisting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs where required • Recording lesson feedback and student progress for teaching staff • Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment About You We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals who enjoy working with young people. Ideally, you will have: • Experience working in a secondary school, youth setting, or coaching environment • A basic understanding of the UK secondary curriculum • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Confidence in managing groups of students • A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare • A driving licence or reliable access to transport (preferred) This role is particularly well-suited to graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, and professionals considering a career in education .
