About the role

Do you have experience managing classrooms and supporting young people’s learning across secondary schools? Vision for Education is currently recruiting Experienced Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas. About the role As an Experienced Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work across a range of subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning, promoting positive behaviour, and creating a calm, productive classroom environment. Your experience will allow you to confidently manage groups of students and adapt quickly to different school settings. This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors seeking flexible work, consistent placements, or the opportunity to work across a variety of secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise pre-prepared lessons across a range of secondary subjects • Maintain a positive, safe, and focused learning environment • Manage classroom behaviour in line with individual school policies • Support students in completing the work set by teaching staff • Adapt confidently to different school environments and routines • Provide clear feedback to teaching staff regarding behaviour and engagement • Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times About the school You will work across a range of welcoming secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent, including academies, community schools, and multi-academy trusts.
