Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools Across South Yorkshire Flexible, Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience or take the next step in your career in education? Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of welcoming secondary schools throughout South Yorkshire . This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, youth workers, sports coaches, teaching assistants, or anyone with experience working with young people. The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task. You won't be expected to plan lessons or mark work, making this an ideal role for those looking to develop their classroom management skills and gain experience in secondary education. Your responsibilities will include: • Supervising classes across a range of subjects using lesson plans provided by teaching staff. • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment. • Supporting students with their learning while encouraging participation and engagement. • Recording attendance and reporting any concerns to school staff. • Adapting confidently to different schools, year groups, and classroom environments. We're Looking For • Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or youth work setting is desirable. • Strong communication and classroom management skills. • A confident, adaptable, and professional approach. • A genuine passion for supporting young people's learning and development. • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel).
