Cover Supervisor

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a confident and resilient Cover Supervisor to work in a secondary school in the Vale of Glamorgan. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong classroom management skills and experience supporting young people who display challenging behaviour. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment by supervising lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The Role Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring students remain engaged and on task. Build positive relationships with pupils whilst maintaining high expectations. Support the school's behaviour policy and contribute to a safe, respectful learning environment. Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and student engagement. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Sports Coach or in another role supporting young people. Essential: Experience managing challenging behaviour and de-escalating situations confidently and professionally. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Calm, resilient and adaptable, with the confidence to lead a classroom independently. A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed. In Return Competitive daily rate of £120 per day.
