Job description

The Howard Academy Trust is seeking a highly effective Trust Primary Inclusion and Engagement practitioner, to start from October 2026. This role will be based within the Senior Leadership Team, within the Central Operations Team of the Trust. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Trust Inclusion and Attendance Lead to improve attendance, inclusion and outcomes for vulnerable pupils across our primary academies. Working closely with schools, families and external agencies, you will lead support for pupils facing complex barriers to education, including EBSA, SEND and SEMH needs, while driving consistent, evidence-informed practice and building capacity across the Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families. The successful candidate will be a hardworking self-starter, who has a sound understanding of all aspects of Inclusion and Engagement support. They will be proactive and be able to travel between all schools within the Trust according to the responsibilities and needs of the service. This is a Full time, 3 year Fixed Term due to mainstream inclusion funding with a view to becoming permanent , Term Time only plus 2 weeks (40 weeks per year), paid on the NJC PAY SCALE B2 point 26-30 (FTE £37,280.00 - £40,777.00 - actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis which equates to £33,328.86 - £36,455.23 per annum) The working pattern will consist of 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with a 30 minute unpaid break each day.
