Make a Difference Where It Matters Most Mount Wise Community Primary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children and Family Support Worker to join our committed team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work directly with children and families, helping to remove barriers to learning, improve attendance, support wellbeing, and ensure every child has the best possible chance to succeed. As a key member of our pastoral and safeguarding team, you will work closely with children, parents, staff and external agencies to provide practical support, guidance and intervention where needed. About the Role You will: Work alongside the Designated Safeguarding Lead as a Deputy DSL to support the safeguarding and welfare of pupils. Build positive relationships with children and families, providing advice, guidance and practical support. Lead and coordinate multi-agency meetings and family support interventions. Promote positive attendance and engagement with school. Deliver nurture and wellbeing support for individual pupils and groups. Coordinate programmes such as ELSA, Keyworker groups and family engagement initiatives. Support families in accessing services and completing referrals. Help create a supportive, inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and ready to learn. About You We are looking for someone who: Is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families. Has knowledge and experience of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Possesses excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Can work effectively with parents, carers, colleagues and external professionals. Is organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload. Has GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). Shares our commitment to inclusion, respect, kindness and collaboration.
