Core Responsibilities • High-Challenge Instruction: Planning and delivering rigorous French lessons across Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level), ensuring all students achieve top-tier academic progress. • Linguistic Fluidity: Training students to master complex grammatical structures, verb conjugations, and varied tenses, cultivating strong spontaneous speaking and accurate listening skills. • Advanced Translation & Essay Writing: Developing students' ability to produce sophisticated, authentic prose in French and critically analyse francophone literature, film, and societal trends. • Data-Driven Intervention: Utilizing granular assessment tracking to identify learning gaps early, providing targeted, high-impact feedback ahead of terminal GCSE and A-Level examinations. • Form Tutor Duties: Leading a dedicated form group, acting as a primary professional mentor and providing academic, pastoral, and holistic career-pathway support. The Successful Candidate We are looking for an ambitious subject specialist who is passionate about francophone culture and possesses the pedagogical skill to challenge and stretch inquisitive young people.
