Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) St James' CE Primary - Primary Phase We are seeking to appoint a committed and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across St James'. Key responsibilities include: Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher Supporting pupils’ learning across the primary range Working with individuals and groups, including pupils with SEND Contributing to assessment, planning and pupil progress Supporting the wider life of the school We are looking for someone who: Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience Has strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills Is flexible, proactive and highly organised Can work effectively as part of a team Is committed to raising standards and supporting all learners We offer: A supportive and inclusive school community Opportunities for professional development A positive and well-resourced working environment Start date: 1st September 2026 or ASAP Visits to the school are welcome.
