This OFSTED Outstanding Special School supports children and young people aged 3 to 19 with autism, severe and profound learning difficulties, and complex needs. Due to continued growth, the school is recruiting multiple Learning Support Assistants. The Role - Learning Support Assistant • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs • Support learning activities and individual education plans (IEPs) • Promote communication, emotional regulation and independence • Support behaviour management and maintain a safe environment • Provide personal care, hygiene, and welfare support • Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals • Support assessment, record-keeping and pupil progress • Deliver specialist interventions and therapy programmes • Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times About You • At least one year's experience working in a learning, childcare, nursing or similar setting • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable) • Experience of applying regulations relating to Health & Safety, hygiene, child welfare and protection • Experience in SEN, care work, support work, childcare or education • Confident supporting autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs • Compassionate, patient and resilient • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) The Package • £22,325 - £24,352 (depending on experience and service) • Term-time only role with approximately 13 weeks' school holidays • Permanent contract with long-term stability • Full induction and ongoing training Apply Now If you are a Teaching Assistant, Care Worker, Support Worker or Learning Support Assistant in Bristol, this is a fantastic opportunity to move into a rewarding SEN school role with an excellent work-life balance.
