Secondary School Learning Support Assistant – Edgware Location: Edgware area Start: ASAP | Full-Time Salary: £85 - £110 per day Supply Desk are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Edgware area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you will provide valuable assistance to students with a range of learning needs, ensuring they are fully engaged in lessons and able to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. The role will involve supporting individuals and small groups, assisting teachers with classroom activities, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued. This role is ideal for an experienced Learning Support Assistant, a graduate looking to gain school-based experience, or someone with relevant transferable skills who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. What You'll Do: • Provide classroom support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. • Work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to support learning and engagement. • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment. • Support students with additional learning needs, helping to build confidence and independence. • Encourage positive behaviour, wellbeing and participation in school activities. The ideal candidate will have: • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or support setting. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • A patient, supportive and enthusiastic approach to working with students.
