SEN Teaching Assistant - Kidderminster **Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Driver Essential** Are you a resilient, compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are currently recruiting for **full-time SEN Teaching Assistants** to support children and young people within specialist educational settings in **Kidderminster**. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. ## About the Role You will be providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of complex additional needs, including: * Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Trauma and attachment-related needs
* Communication and sensory processing difficulties
* Complex behavioural needs that require a calm, consistent and nurturing approach Every day is different, and your role will involve building positive relationships, supporting learning activities, promoting independence, encouraging communication and helping pupils regulate their emotions in a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to ensure every child receives the individual support they need to thrive both academically and personally. ## What We're Looking For We are looking for individuals who are: * Available to work **Monday to Friday** on a full-time basis.
* Hold a **full UK driving licence** and have access to their own vehicle (essential due to school locations).
* Reliable, punctual and committed to providing consistency for pupils.
* Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.
* Confident supporting children who may display behaviours that challenge.
* Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
* Able to adapt their approach to meet each child's individual learning and emotional needs.
* Excellent communicators with strong teamwork skills.
* Willing to learn and undertake additional SEN training where required. Previous experience working within education, care, youth work, residential settings, support work, healthcare or mental health is highly desirable.
