About the role

Learning Support Assistant Some children don't need someone to do the work for them. They need someone who believes in them, understands how they learn, and gives them the confidence to shine. A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the BS4 area is looking for dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to provide tailored support for pupils across KS1 and KS2. This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity to make a real difference. You'll build a trusted relationship, helping them face each school day with confidence, consistency and encouragement. Your responsbilities will include: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery. Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement. Supporting children with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Langauge and other SEND. Promoting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment. Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents We are looking for candidates who: Have experience working with children or young people in a school, SEND, care, youth work, or similar setting. Are passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing. Have excellent communication and teamwork skills. Are patient, reliable, and adaptable.
