Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Milton Keynes from September 2026 . This is a full-time position (5 days per week) , working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm . Salary • £92–£110 per day , depending on experience and qualifications. The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students aged 11–18 to achieve their academic and personal goals. Working closely with teachers and the SEND team, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive within the school environment. Key Responsibilities • Support students with their learning in both one-to-one and small group settings. • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. • Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours. • Support pupils with additional educational needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning. • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials. • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents where appropriate. Requirements The successful candidate will have: • Experience working in a secondary school or experience supporting young people aged 11–18 . • A caring, patient, and proactive approach. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. • A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed. • Relevant qualifications or previous experience in education or support work are desirable.
