Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work full-time in specialist SEN and SEMH schools across Portsmouth from September . The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs. • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment. • Support students with social, emotional and behavioural development. • Work alongside teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised learning. • Encourage confidence, independence and positive relationships. • Assist with classroom activities and help pupils achieve their individual goals. The Schools You'll be working in specialist schools supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, including: • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) • ADHD • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs • Complex behavioural needs Every day is different, offering new challenges and incredibly rewarding moments as you help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
