About the role

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? Protocol Education is working with a number of supportive primary schools looking to recruit dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their teams. These roles offer the opportunity to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children, building positive relationships and helping pupils develop both academically and personally. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils succeed by providing tailored support and encouraging active participation in lessons. You may work with the whole class, small intervention groups or provide individual support to pupils who need additional guidance. Your responsibilities will include: • Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom. • Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy and phonics. • Providing 1:1 support where required, including for pupils with additional learning needs. • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupil wellbeing. • Helping to create an engaging, safe and inclusive learning environment. • Supporting children to develop confidence, independence and social skills. • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and parents to ensure pupils make excellent progress. We Are Looking For Someone Who: • Has a genuine enthusiasm for working with primary-aged children. • Is patient, adaptable and enjoys working as part of a team. • Can build positive relationships with pupils and inspire confidence. • Has excellent communication and organisational skills. • Has previous experience working with children in education, childcare, youth work or a similar setting (preferred but not essential). • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
