Programme Support Worker – SEND
Location: Bradford Hours: 35 hours per week | Term Time Only (39 weeks) Salary: £30,000 FTE (£23,262 actual) Contract: Permanent
Reed Further Education is seeking a compassionate and organised Programme Support Worker to support learners with SEND and help deliver a positive, inclusive learning experience. Working closely with teaching staff, you will provide learning, pastoral and administrative support, helping students achieve their individual goals and prepare for adulthood.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide classroom and small-group support to learners with SEND.
• Promote independence, engagement and confidence in learning.
• Support student wellbeing, pastoral needs and safeguarding.
• Assist with EHCP outcomes, learner progress monitoring and record keeping.
• Support daily campus operations, events and learner activities.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and programme staff to ensure positive learner outcomes.
About You
• Experience supporting young people or adults with SEND.
• Experience in education, youth work or a similar support role.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Patient, resilient and passionate about supporting learners to succeed.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
