I am working with a Primary School in the BS22 area of Weston-Super-Mare who are currently seeking Learning Support Assistants to work with a KS1 pupil who has SEMH needs. This Primary School is an inclusive school where they all have a strong sense of responsibility, participation, cooperation and tolerance as part of a community where every child and adult feels valued. The Role This position is a Full-Time Learning Support Assistant role, working Monday to Friday 8:30 to 3:30 from November until the end of the academic year. The Head Teacher is looking for someone with prior experience working with children or has a great knowledge of support SEN. Someone who is positive, a team player, motivational, flexible and creative. You will be expected to: • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to assess childrens’ development. • Have an ability to be adaptable depending on the pupil you are working with. • Have prior experience working with children. • Have some sort of knowledge of SEMH needs. • Help recourse and deliver activities.
