The successful Music Teacher will play a key role in delivering high-quality music education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring creativity, confidence, and outstanding student achievement through practical and theoretical music lessons. The successful Music Teacher will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - (ECTs are welcome to apply) • Have strong experience teaching Music within UK secondary schools. • Have a proven track record of delivering engaging and effective Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable). • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge across practical and theoretical aspects of Music. • Be passionate about inspiring students to develop their musical talents and appreciation of music. • Possess outstanding classroom management and behaviour management skills. • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders to support student progress and achievement. Key responsibilities include: • Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons that meet the needs of all learners. • Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress to ensure excellent outcomes. • Preparing students for performances, concerts, examinations, and enrichment opportunities. • Promoting participation in extracurricular music activities, including choirs, ensembles, and school productions. • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. • Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting whole-school initiatives.
