We are looking for an experienced and qualified Room Leader to work as part of the leadership team, within our Drighlington Nursery. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress from a Deputy Room Leader role or similar level within an early years setting. About the Role As a Room Leader at Muddy Boots, you will help to lead a team to ensure that all children receive high-quality care and support, are kept safe, and receive rich and stimulating play experiences that meet their individual learning needs, all whilst having a tonne of fun every day! Nestled in the heart of York, we are conveniently located in the heart of York city centre, with our main entrances on The Queen’s Path next to the Minster and on Deangate. We have five rooms - Wiggly Worms, Dancing Dragonflies, Little Ladybirds, Cheeky Hens and Preschool, as well as our own Forest School area. We look after up to 125 children per day from 0-4 years. We don't have any on-site parking, but we have plenty of local bus routes and some great local parking rates through an app if you need this, as well as being only an 8-minute walk from York train station. What being a Nursery Room Leader involves As a Nursery Room Leader, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include: • Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy. • Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality. • Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care. • Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children. • Overseeing the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities. • Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager’s absence. • Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development. • Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s needs.
