You'll work closely with senior leaders, teachers, families, and external agencies to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed. You'll be: • Leading the pastoral support for your designated year group or key stage • Building positive relationships with students, acting as a trusted and approachable role model • Leading behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing interventions to improve student outcomes • Working closely with families, teaching staff, safeguarding teams, and external agencies to provide joined-up support • Managing challenging situations calmly and consistently, using restorative approaches where appropriate • Supporting vulnerable students and helping remove barriers to learning • Monitoring pastoral data and identifying students who may require additional support • Contributing to safeguarding, inclusion, and whole-school wellbeing initiatives • Promoting a positive, inclusive school culture where every student feels valued and supported What we're looking for • Experience in a pastoral leadership role, behaviour, safeguarding, education, youth work, or a similar setting • Strong knowledge of behaviour management, student wellbeing, and pastoral support • Experience leading interventions that improve attendance, behaviour, or student engagement • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • The confidence to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals • A calm, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting young people • A genuine passion for improving outcomes and creating opportunities for every student Experience with safeguarding processes, restorative practice, or multi-agency working would be an advantage.
