Qualified Secondary Teacher | Hounslow A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated and Qualified Secondary Teacher to join their team on a short-term basis. Contract lengths may vary depending on the needs of the school, making this an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy the flexibility of contract work while gaining experience in a supportive and well-established school environment. The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be confident teaching across a range of secondary subjects when required. As a Qualified Secondary Teacher, you will be adaptable, proactive, and capable of delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. Whether covering planned absences or supporting the school during busy periods, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. Qualified Secondary Teacher - Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons where required. • Teach across a variety of secondary subjects and year groups, adapting to the needs of the school. • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students. • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies. • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback where appropriate. • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider school community. Qualified Secondary Teacher - Requirements: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). • Previous experience teaching in UK secondary schools. • Flexibility and confidence teaching different subjects when needed. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • A positive, professional, and adaptable approach to teaching. • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. This role as a Qualified Secondary Teacher will suit experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to broaden their experience through flexible contract opportunities.
