SEND Teacher
• Daily Rate: £174.41 - £223.23
• Location: Morecambe
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (1st September - 23rd October)
We are seeking a SEND Teacher to join our team at a local school in Morecambe. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The position is full-time, from Monday to Friday, starting on the 1st of September and initially running until the 23rd of October, with the possibility of extension depending on the school's requirements.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences for children with SEND.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
• Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations.
• Prepare required reports on students and activities.
• Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a SEND Teacher or in a similar role working with SEND children.
• Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEND and strategies to address these.
• Ability to create and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of children with SEND.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, resilience, and dedication to student development.
• Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
